Prometheus

Photogrammetry · 3D reconstruction · Real-time visualization · Environmental composition · Visual storytelling

I photographed Paul Manship’s Prometheus sculpture at Rockefeller Center, capturing 177 images for photogrammetric reconstruction. The capture presented significant physical constraints: the sculpture sits within a fountain against a large wall, restricting access and preventing photography of the rear.

I reconstructed the sculpture from the available viewpoints and brought it into Twinmotion, where I developed a visual interpretation of the Prometheus myth. Using additional 3D models, environmental composition, and lighting, I placed Prometheus atop Mount Elbrus, with an eagle circling him to evoke his punishment by Zeus.

The project transformed an existing public sculpture into a mythological scene, combining real-world photographic capture and 3D reconstruction with creative direction and real-time visualization.
